Houston to host World Seniors Snooker Championship qualifying

The United States Snooker Association (USSA) is pleased to announce that the United States has been chosen to host a qualifying event for the 2019 World Seniors Snooker Championship.
The World Seniors Snooker Championship is part of the new World Seniors Tour formed by the World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association (WPBSA), the rules and regulation governing body for both snooker and English billiards around the world.
The qualifying event will be staged at Q Ball Snooker & Pool in Houston, Texas, from January 25-27, and entry is open to all snooker players aged 40 and over from the United States and around the world who are not current professional players on the World Snooker Tour.

There are six qualifying events around the world, including events in Canada and China.
The winner in Houston will pocket 2,500 British Pounds, and travel to England to play in the 2019 World Seniors Snooker Championship, where they could come up against one of the legends of the sport such as the seven-times former World Snooker Champion, Stephen Hendry.
The 2019 World Seniors Snooker Champion will receive a prize of 25,000 British Pounds, and also be awarded a place in the draw to try and qualify for the most prestigious event of the professional World Snooker Tour, the 2019 World Snooker Championship at the Crucible in Sheffield, England.
