After three days of round-robin group play at Q Ball Snooker & Pool in Houston, Texas, the 2019 Pan American Snooker Championship will now be contested over the weekend by a single elimination knockout stage to find the eventual champion on Sunday evening.

The eight group winners have advanced into the round of 16 which will commence at 3pm local time Saturday, but before that the players who finished second and third in their groups will fight it out between them in round of 24 matches due to start at 10am local time.

The United States has eleven players who have come through the Groups, with the twice-former United States National Snooker Champion, Ajeya Prabhakar, Chicago's Renat Denkha, and Houston's very own Blaine Barcus, who all booked their round of 16 berths by topping their groups undefeated.

The reigning United States National Snooker Champion, Ahmed Aly Elsayed, will go into a round of 24 match after finishing second in his group.

Brazil have gained a contingent of ten players who will be doing battle in the knockout rounds, headed by the impressive Igor Figueiredo, the former professional and reigning World Snooker Federation (WSF) Seniors Snooker Champion, who won all of his group matches without dropping a single frame and compiling the Championship's highest break so far of 94. He will be joined in the round of 16 by fellow countrymen Victor Sarkis and Rafael Franceschi Gusso, who were also both undefeated in their groups.

Three players from Canada have made it through the group stage, with the former professionals John White and Levi Meiller going forward into the round of 16 after winning their respective groups - Meiller undefeated.

All round of 24 and round of 16 matches will be played over the best-of-7 frames, the first player to win four frames will advance.
