2019 Pan American Snooker Championship - Q Ball Snooker & Pool, Houston, Texas. January 30 - February 3

With all eight round of 24 ties commencing in this morning's 10am local time session, players who finished second and third in their groups matched up, with the winners of those ties taking on those who topped their groups in the round of 16.

The player from Brooklyn was in fine swift form as he defeated Brazil's Dayron Gontijo Azevedo 4-0, and is now in a fascinating face-off with Barcus, who is better known for his exploits in pool though played some excellent snooker to win his Group.

Saif Ibrahim came through a tight tussle with a fellow American Sim Long Tran 4-3, and both Mark White and Mike Collier defeated American compatriots Paul Richardson and Othman Belgrini 4-1 respectively.

Laszlo Kovacs became the fourth American to advance from the round of 24, as he defeated Brazil's Jesus Batista de Oliveira 4-0.

The two all-Brazilian round of 16 ties went in favor of Osni Xavier Kuss and Fabio Luiz Gusso who both scored respective 4-0 wins over Christiano Galesi and Bernard Frérotte.

Canada has insured that they will have at least one player in the quarterfinals, as Charlie Brown has set up an all-Canadian round of 16 encounter with John White, after he came through 4-0 over Brazil's Januario Silverio de Souza.
