It was the player from Brooklyn however who started well by claiming the first frame decisively, but the current World Snooker Federation (WSF) World Seniors Champion hit back in the next frame by squaring the match 1-1 on the colored balls.

Figueiredo then stepped up a gear to accelerate into a 3-1 advantage, and he wrapped up the match after frame five on the last colors to secure a 4-1 success.

The semifinals are due to commence Sunday at 10am CST, and will be played over the best-of-9 frames.
