filed on Sunday, February 3, 2019.   3:03pm PT/USA

Chicago's Renat Denkha will represent the United States in the final of the 2019 Pan American Snooker Championship where he will face Brazil's Igor Figueiredo, as the pair come through their semifinal matches at Q Ball Snooker & Pool in Houston, Texas.

2019 Pan American Snooker Championship - Q Ball Snooker & Pool, Houston, Texas. January 30 - February 3

Denkha was involved in an almighty long drawn-out tussle against former professional John White which went all the way, as the Canadian continued to edge advantages of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2, but the American squared the match for the third time at 3-3.

Denkha, who was a semifinalist in the 2017 United States National Snooker Championship, then took the lead for the first time after sealing frame seven, but White then hit back again to win the eighth frame on the final colors to once again level the match.

With the tension rising, it was Denkha though who played a decisive final frame to win the match 5-4.

In the other semifinal which was completed much earlier, Figueiredo was up against local Houston player Mark White.

It was a very disappointing performance though for White by his own admission as he just failed to get going over the first four frames, and assisted with breaks of 53 and 54 the Brazilian ran away into a 4-0 advantage.

White got on the scoresheet after securing frame five, but it was not long before the player from Rio de Janeiro had sealed the match for a comfortable 5-1 success.

Due to the overrun of Denkha's semifinal, the start of the final, which was due to commence at 4pm CST, has been delayed.
