The United States Snooker Association (USSA) is now taking entries for the 2019 United States National Snooker Championship hosted by Q Ball Snooker & Pool in Houston, Texas, from August 30 - September 2, after publishing the Championship Entry Document for players wishing to participate.

The Entry Document contains all of the Championship rules that a participant must agree to abide by should you wish to enter the Championship, so the USSA advises interested participants to read the entire document carefully.

To conform with international representation rules, the Championship is only open to United States citizens. As part of the entry process, the USSA now requires all entrants to verify their United States citizenship, by uploading on the online entry form a document or image containing accepted verification (see Entry Document for details). Please note: Players must provide this evidence regardless of previous participation or verification.

The entry fee for the Championship is $100, and non-members of the USSA must add their annual membership fee of $10 when making their payment. Players who have not paid their USSA membership since September 3, 2018, must renew their membership to enter.

The USSA would like to inform players who require accommodation that the association has negotiated a special Championship rate with Comfort Suites, which is located within a 5-minute walking distance of the host venue, of which players are recommended to make their booking with using the discount code included in the Entry Document.

Entries may only be made via the secure Entry Form on the SnookerUSA.com website, which can be found at the address contained in the Entry Document. The closing date for entries is by the end of Sunday, August 25 (PDT).

The Players’ Meeting will take place at Q Ball Snooker & Pool from 8pm on Thursday, August 29 which will then be followed by the Championship draw.

The Championship will be played using an initial Group phase, with each group containing one seeded player based on performances in the previous three Championships, with all other players drawn at random. The qualifying placed players from each Group will then advance into the single elimination Knockout phase.

The winner of the Championship will be crowned the 2019 United States National Snooker Champion, and alongside the runner-up will gain automatic selection to represent the United States in the following year's international snooker competition.
