2021 United States National Snooker Championship

Luzhou Sha has secured a first United States National Snooker Championship quarterfinal appearance, after he capitalized on some luck in his 3-2 round of 16 defeat of Romil Azemat at the New York Athletic Club (NYAC).

The New Yorker trailed 1-0 and 2-1 to the 2006 Championship runner-up but he won the fourth frame to square the match, and as the final frame came to down to the final colored balls he pulled off a couple of amazing flukes on the blue and pink balls. After a few exchanges on the final black ball, he pocketed it to win a hard fought tie and a meeting with the number three seed and twice champion, Ajeya Prabhakar.
