2021 Pan American Snooker Championships. The Corner Bank, Toronto, Canada. November 13 - 20

Three American players have made it through the Main Event group stage of the 2021 Pan American Snooker Championships at The Corner Bank in Toronto, Canada, with Ahmed Aly Elsayed drawn to play Ajeya Prabhakar in the round of 16.

In what will be a repeat of last month's United States National Snooker Championship final of which Aly comprehensively defeated Prabhakar 5-0, it will mean that there will certainly be American representation in the quarterfinals.

It was Prabhakar however who had the better group performance out of the pair, as he topped Group H by winning all of his four matches.

Aly was runner-up of Group A on frame difference, as he lost 3-0 to Brazil's Victor Sarkis though won his other three group ties 3-0.

The most impressive American player in the group stage however was Renat Denkha, who was the previous runner-up in this event back in 2019 to Brazil's Igor Figueiredo.

Denkha cruised through his four Group G matches to win the group for the loss of just one frame, and will now face Canadian Amar Sadeg for a quarterfinal berth.

The winner of the Main Event of the 2021 Pan American Snooker Championships will be awarded a two-year card to compete as a professional on the World Snooker Tour.
