2021 Pan American Snooker Championships. The Corner Bank, Toronto, Canada. November 13 - 20

The United States' Ahmed Aly Elsayed and Renat Denkha have both progressed into the Main Event semifinals of the 2021 Pan American Snooker Championships at The Corner Bank in Toronto, Canada.

Aly repeated last month's victory over Ajeya Prabhakar in the final of this year's United States National Snooker Championship, however the New Yorker let slip a 2-0 advantage in their round of 16 encounter as the Californian hit back to level their tie at 2-2. Aly went onto secure the following two frames though to clinch a 4-2 victory.

In the quarterfinals Aly defeated Canadian Jason Williams 4-2, and he will now take on Brazil's Victor Sarkis over the best-of-9-frames for a place in the final.

Denkha came through his round of 16 match after defeating Canada's Amar Sadeg 4-2, and then the 2019 runner-up sealed a 4-1 quarterfinal victory over Canada's Frank Ammirante and will now take on another Canadian, Derrick Claus, in the semifinals.

The semifinals and final are both played Saturday, with the winner being crowned the 2021 Pan American Snooker Champion and awarded that coveted two-year card to compete as a professional on the World Snooker Tour.
