2021 Pan American Snooker Championships. The Corner Bank, Toronto, Canada. November 13 - 20

Renat Denkha has again failed in his bid to become the Pan American Snooker Champion, as the American lost to Victor Sarkis in the 2021 final at The Corner Bank in Toronto, Canada.

It is the second successive Championship that the player from Illnois has lost to a Brazilian in the final, as Denkha was defeated by Igor Figueiredo in Houston, Texas, when these Championships were previously held back in 2019.

The first two frames were shared but from that moment Sarkis looked the most fresh of the players, and with an ever increasing confidence in his play he reeled off the next three frames to take a 4-1 advantage.

Sarkis then forged a 59-0 lead in frame six but gave Denkha an opportunity to strike back, of which he did superbly to clear the table with a tremendous break of 70 to win the frame. A reinvigorated Denkha then took a large early lead in the seventh frame of which Sarkis could not recover from, to then reduce his deficit to 3-4.

As the tension mounted, Sarkis got the upper hand though in the following frame as he kept a cool head to wrap up a very entertaining final 5-3.

Sarkis is crowned the 2021 Pan American Snooker Champion, and will be awarded a two-year card to compete as a professional on the World Snooker Tour, where he will feature along with his compatriot Figueiredo.
