The reigning United States National Snooker Champion, Steven Wong, has arrived in the Turkish city of Antalya to compete in the Men's Event of the 2022 International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Championships, which take place at the Sueno Hotels Beach Side from November 4 - 17.

This is the second time that Wong has competed in a IBSF World Snooker Championships, with his first appearance coming in 2006 after he gained selection by reaching the semifinals of that year's United States National Snooker Championship.

Joining Wong in Turkey to represent the United States in these Championships is the twice former United States National Snooker Champion, Ajeya Prabhakar, as the runner-up in this year's United States National Snooker Championship, Raymond Fung, was unavailable for selection.

Prabhakar will compete in the Men's Event and the Masters' Event of these Championships, and there is also a Ladies' Event.

Wong has been drawn in Group C of the Men's Event where he will play best-of-5-frames matches against Muhammad Sajjad from Pakistan, Antonis Poullos from Cyprus and home player Kivanç Karahan.

Prabhakar has been drawn in Group Y of the Men's Event where he will take on Shachar Ruberg from Israel, Alain Vergère from Switzerland and Tudor Chitu from Romania; and in the Masters' Event he has been drawn in Group C where he will face Mark Tuite from Ireland, Gareth Edwards from Wales, Shaul Eliau from Israel and home player Yilmaz Şenel.
