2025 United States National Snooker Championship - The Champion Snooker Club. Concord, California. May 23 - 26

The three-time United States National Snooker Champion, Sargon Isaac, has set-up a mouthwatering quarterfinal clash with the defending champion Renat Denkha in the 2025 Championship at The Champion Snooker Club in Concord, California.

The third day's play got underway at 9am Pacific Time with the round of 24 matches, which included all the players who finished in second and third places in their group.

The number two seeded player Cheang Ciing Yoo came through his tie 3-2 against Sam McGrath, however the 2019 runner-up from Seattle then lost in the round of 16 to the number one seed Denkha.

The number six seed Arif Mahmood also had to play a round of 24 match after finishing in third place in Group F, and although he overcame James McCloskey 3-0, he then succumbed in the round of 16 to the number four seed, Tom Limor.

Andy McCloskey was another seeded player who had to endure a round of 24 match, but the number seven seeded player from California defeated Patrick Guigui 3-1, and then proceeded to decisively beat the number five seed in the round of 16, Shakib Nihan Karim, 3-0, to secure a quarterfinal appearance for the second successive year.

The 2006 runner-up and number three seed Romil Azemat was knocked out in the round of 16 3-1 by Hasanain Alsultani, after Alsultani had defeated North Carolina's Mark Ziegler 3-0 in his previous round of 24 match.

Ajeya Prabhakar is still going strong as he booked his appearance in a Championship quarterfinal for the first time since 2021. Prabhakar won Group B and faced his fellow California Snooker Academy player Amitabh Seth in the round of 16, after Seth had a 3-0 success over Ahmad Shekib Nawabi in the round of 24. The former two-time champion defeated Seth 3-0, which included a break of 80.

There was one huge shock in the round of 16 however, after the record six-times former champion Ahmed Aly Elsayed suffered a 3-0 loss to Bob Hemnani, who was a semifinalist in this Championship back in 2022.

But the tie of the quarterfinals will be between Denkha and Isaac, with the number eight seed booking his place in the last-8 after defeating Majid Randhawa 3-0.

The quarterfinals get underway at 4pm Pacific Time. The semifinals will start tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time, with the final scheduled to commence at 3pm Pacific Time.
