While Renat Denkha powers toward a successful United States National Snooker Championship title defense at The Champion Snooker Club in Concord, California, Ajeya Prabhakar has secured his appearance in a remarkable thirteenth Championship semifinal since he won his first title back in 2000.
Prabhakar has experienced a dip in form in this Championship since he was runner-up in 2021 at the New York Athletic Club, though he did lead Daren Taylor 2-1 in the round of 32 of the 2022 Championship only to narrowly lose 3-2 to the eventual champion.
The Californian, who remarkably won his second Championship title fourteen years after winning his first, defeated Bob Henmani from New Jersey, a semifinalist himself back in 2022, 3-2, and will now take on Hasanain Alsuntani.

Alsuntani will be featuring in his first semifinal as he narrowly came through a very hard fought quarterfinal tie 3-2 against Mike Collier.
Denkha sealed his semifinal spot after defeating the three-time former champion Sargon Isaac 3-0, where he will also take on a semifinal debutant in Andy McCloskey as the number seven seed came through his quarterfinal against number four seed Tom Limor, a semifinalist in last year's Championship, 3-1.
The semifinals will start tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time, with the final scheduled to commence at 3pm Pacific Time.
