Ajeya Prabhakar hit back from a 3-1 deficit to book an eighth appearance in a United States National Snooker Championship final, where he will take on the defending champion Renat Denkha for the 2025 title at The Champion Snooker Club in Concord, California.
After winning the first frame of his semifinal against Hasanain Alsultani, it seemed likely that the two-time former champion was staring defeat in the face after convincingly losing the following three frames. However Prabakar is very experienced in these situations, as several times he has come back from a similar position to win matches like this in previous Championships.

From frame four he turned into a different player with a tenacious look on his face, and delivering the cue with a much smoother action.
He won a swift 17-minute fifth frame which set the tone for the rest of the match, as he built up substantial early leads in both the next two frames which helped him decisively seal them and pull of a 4-3 victory.
Apart from dropping frame two, Denkha wrapped up a straighforward 4-1 semifinal success over Andy McCloskey in just over two hours of play.
The final is scheduled to commence at 3pm Pacific Time.
