The Embassy Billiards Club in San Gabriel, California, has become a legendary venue to play snooker at in the United States, but it has now just added a true piece of snooker history for players to experience.
On August 15 of this year during his semifinal match in the 2025 Saudi Arabia Masters against Chris Wakelin, the seven times former World Champion, England's Ronnie O'Sullivan, who is overwhelmingly regarded as the greatest snooker player of all time, achieved the amazing feat of compiling two maximum 147 breaks.
The feat of compiling two maximum 147 breaks in the same match had been achieved before by Welshman Jackson Page in qualifying for this year's World Championship, but they came on different days during the two-session match.
O'Sullivan's history making achievement however was unique as both of his maximum breaks came on the same day during his one session semifinal match, to take his career maximum break tally to a record number of seventeen.

The proprietor of the Embassy Billiards Club, Steven Wong, who is a former United States National Snooker Champion himself, purchased that history making Star Tournament snooker table, shipped it to California and now has it installed in the club.
Wong also purchased and installed in the club the Star Tournament snooker table used for the final of this year's Shanghai Masters, which was won by the former World Champion Kyren Wilson, with both tables being available for his customers to play on.
