Syed Usman has won the first event of the 2026 United States Snooker Association (USSA) National Tour, after cruising to victory in the 2026 Tennessee State Snooker Championship at the Nashville Snooker Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee.

The tournament delivered high drama from the opening rounds, featuring commanding 3-0 shutout performances in the earlier stages by the field's top contenders, including Usman over Malyar Raziqi, Karl Karkaria who defeated Liam Barry, and Govinda Semeta who came through against Krishanu Chattaraj.

As the field narrowed down to the final four, both semifinal contests yielded clean 4-0 sweeps, as Mark Ziegler booked his place in the final by defeating Karkaria, while Usman stopped Govinda's excellent tournament run.

Ziegler is an accomplished player having qualified from his group in the past two United States National Snooker Championships, however Usman took immediate command of the match as he took all four frames to lead 4-0 going into the mid-session interval. On the resumption of the final, Usman's dominance was evident as he closed out the tie 5-0 to claim the title.

To compound his historic weekend, Usman also took home the tournament's Highest Break trophy, completing an absolute sweep of the event's top honors.
