Mahmood started the defense of his title in the quarterfinals in which he scored an excellent 3-1 victory over Syed Usman, who won Event 1 on this season's USSA National Tour.
Mahmood, who reached the round of 24 in this year's United States National Snooker Championship last month, then proceeded to narrowly overcome North Carolina's Mark Ziegler 4-3 in the semifinals.
Glenn Hodgkinson was Mahmood's opponent in the final, and he cruised to a dominant 4-0 win to claim the title.
The USSA would like to thank Zia Sheik for all his work and enthusiasm in staging another USSA National Snooker Tour event, and for all his support toward the development of the sport in the United States.
